That must've been an awesome birthday party! Pokémon everywhere as far as the eye can reach. Glad to hear that people love the mini figures from the Monopoly set, they were so colourful back then. Thank you for sharing those wonderful memories.

What a lovely memory! I should see if I still have any old 90's photos - my mother had tried to decorate my birthday cake with Pokemon figures, but they weren't the Tomy's I loved so much, and they were all unpopular Pokemon I didn't recognize (I tried to explain to her that Mr. Mime was probably just Some Guy and not a Pokemon)...

Thanks for the comment, Cupcakedex! Please tell me photographs of the Mr. Mime birthday cake exist... Jokes aside, though, it's nice that your mother took the time to decorate it with your interests in mind! If you do find your photographs, I'd love to share your stories and memories too.

This is so sweet! I also remember being stuck in Gold Version on the ice puzzle until I could borrow a guide from my cousin. And I also own and love pokemon monopoly, I think it would be the same version since I had it at least by December 2000. (It had the slightly rubbery pokemon tokens of Blastoise, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Pikachu, Mewtwo, and Clefairy). Thanks for sharing!
