What a cool story! Thanks so much to Dragonfree for sharing!! There must be a lot of things that kids saw in these games that were just a little off like this that we simply have no documentation of. It's awesome that Dragonfree was able to figure out what must have happened!
Also I very much sympathize with the pain of losing a save file. When you're a kid, it feels like your world is crashing down when you see that the hours you spent have suddenly disappeared.
